Recent Achievements by the students of the college in extra curricular activities

Year 2008 – 2009

National & State level:  

                               I.         Second best debater, first in speech, second best in Collage, second best in College Magazine competition in the Inter College Youth Festival at Gauhati University held in April, 2008.

                            II.         Best debating team, best debater and second best debater in the Inter University competition held at Tezpur University on 7^th and 8^th April, 2008.

                         III.         Best debating team in the “Sukhdeo memorial” all Assam Inter College debating competition held at Nowgon College on 8^th August, 2008.

                         IV.         Best team and best debater in the “Parag Das Memrial” Inter College debating competition held at Cotton College, Guwahati on 17^th August, 2008.

                            V.         Best team and best debater in Prahlad Gohain memorial All Assam Inter College debating Competition held at Dhakuakhana College,  Dhakuakhana,Assam in September, 2008. 

                         VI.         Best team in the “Golap Sharma” memorial North Eastern Inter College Debating Competition held at North Lakhimpur College on 26^th December, 2008.

                      VII.         Participation of three cadets in the “Tracking Camp” held at Dehradun, U.P. from 16^th to 29^th August, 2008.

                   VIII.         Best Institutional prize in the NCC camp held at Phulbari, Tezpur from 22th –    31^st  May, 2008.

                         IX.         Participation in the “National Integration Camp” held at Jakhma, Nagaland by two students.

                            X.            Participation in the “Republic Day Parade” New Delhi by two girl students. They won best Cadet and best cultural group award.

                         XI.            Best debater, best team in Inter College Debating competition organized by IQAC, Dhemaji College, Assam in November, 2008.

Year 2007 -2008

International

       I.                             Representing India in South Asian Universities Youth Festival  at Kathmandu University, Nepal, Gold Medal in Orchestra and  speech on Assamese Culture.

National & State level:

                               I.            Seven students of the College participated in the National level NSS camp and Rally organized by the ministry of youth affairs and sports Govt of India during 5^th May to 11^th May 2007 in New Delhi on the eve of 150 years of Indian freedom struggle.

                            II.            2^nd best prize  in Sadananda Chaliha memorial inter College  speech competition at Biswanath College , Biswanath Chariali.

                         III.            1^st prize in WHO sponsored inter college extempore speech competition at Darrang College , Tezpur.

                         IV.            Best team in 26^th KC Kakati memorial inter college / University debating competition JB College Jorhat.

                            V.            Best team in Sidhinath Sarma memorilal All Assam inter College debating Competition at Rangia College,  Rangia. 

                         VI.            Best debater and best team Prahlad Gohain memorilal All Assam inter College debating Competition at Dhakua khana College, Dhakuakhana.

                      VII.            Best debater and best team All Assam inter College debating Competition at Dhemaji College. Dhemaji.

                   VIII.            Best debater and best team North-East inter College/ University debating Competition at North Lakhimpur College, Lakhimpur.

                         IX.            Representing Gauhati University in East Zone youth festival at Pt. Ravi shankar Shukla University Chatisgarh, gold medal in quiz. and Silver in debating.

                            X.            Representing Gauhati University in Inter-University youth festival at Shivaji 

        University , Kohlapur,Mumbai, gold medal in orchestra and Silver in debating.
